Teachings on the Life of Disciples
The Bible presents a few key elements about how disciples of Jesus must continue living. Right after the church of God was born, the scriptures state that the disciples continued in the apostles' doctrines, in fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in prayers (Acts 2:42). These four are core to the life of the church as they laid the foundation of the communal life of the church. Furthermore, the Bible states that the disciples continued “steadfastly” in them meaning that they were firm in what they did and did not deviate from following these four. Nevertheless, the life of the disciples also includes other matters such as holiness, serving the Lord, continuing with one another in love and perseverance and sufferings but these ones rather relate to the daily life of individual disciples. These and other important aspects of discipleship will be examined in more detail in the Preachings section of this website.
